Our fishing provisions

In terms of catch limits and allowed fishing areas

GENERAL

1. Fishing permit owner's children less than 15 years of age may go fishing on the permit holder's card. Associations who want to arrange fishing competitions within Färila Fvo must apply permit at least 3 months in advance.The board for Färila Fvo decides about permits to be given and on the allocated waters. The fee for fishing competitions 10: /per participant.

LJUSNAN is opened 8-5-2010

1. Fishing for salmon trout in Ljusnan is allowed between 08/5 - 31/8 and on grayling between 08/5 - 04/10.
2. Färila FVO has decided to introduce so-called "catching window" on grayling, only graylings between 25cm to maximum 30cm may be caught. On salmon trout applies minimum 40 cm.
3. Maximum 3 fish per permit are allowed (including all grayling and salmon trout put together per day). All other caught grayling and salmon trout must be put back into the water immediately and without exception - including injured fish.
4. The allowed area for fishing stretches from Laforssen to 100 m upstream to Skarpåns' opening.
5. It's allowed to fish from boat in Knutnäsudden 100 m upstream up to Henriksfors.
6. Angling with maximum 12 kits and hoop net fishing for the pike and perch is allowed - applies only to members or persons together with member. NB all angle fishing from other municipalities is not allowed due to crayfish plague.
7. Fishing worms/earthworms is prohibited in Ljusnan from Laforssen downstream to Knutnäsudden and the stream of Henrikfors. For a rod you may only attach maximum 3 flies or 1 fishing  lure. Hook without barb should be uses.
8. Live fish may not be used as bait. Fishing with "otter board" is prohibited.
9. Fishing is prohibited from Hovrahällarnas and 2600 m upstream to upper end of Brännholmen.
10. Fishing is prohibited in all tributary from Ljusnan's opening and 500 m upstream.
11. Fishing with floating rings is allowed in all waters that are open for boat fishing. For example: Breasen, Sånghusskön, Finnsjön, Linsdasjön, Björsjösjön, Skålavallssjön, enskogssjöarna, Ygsjön , Ängratörn och Laforssjön. (floating rings are classified as boat)

SKÅLSJÖSYSTEMET AND ABBORRTJÄRN

1. Special rules apply to the following waters-sources: Rävsvenstjärn, Bowl Sea, Skålsjötjärn, Finnsjötjärn with tributaries and Abborrtjärn.
2. There are automatic fishing permit machines at Skålsjön and Abborrtjärn.
3. At Abborrtjärn Färila Fvo is leasing land in cooperation with Svea Skoog. Caravan camping and fishing for the disabled has been prepared.
4. All live baits is not allowed within the fishing territory.
5. Netting is not allowed in Abbortjärn, the bowl sea system, Gammelvallstjärn, Lusttjärn and Breasen.
6. Boat fishing, netting and angling are prohibited in Abbortjärn, Skålsjösystemet, Gammelvallstjärn and Lusttjärn.
